I use sterling silver or solid copper as the metal unless it is an electroformed piece. Electroform is the process of preserving and item in a solid shell of metal. For instance, an electroformed leaf starts off with a real leaf and through a lengthy process, it becomes encased in copper. Each copper piece comes on a genuine leather cord, and every silver piece comes on a complementary silver-plated chain unless otherwise specified.
