Crystal Information

This stone has been used by many of the oldest civilizations. Most commonly thought to be a deep shade of red, this crystal actually comes in a variety of colors and mineral compositions, all of which share common attributes. Garnet is said to represent “primordial fire” and the creation of the world out of chaos, and it is a stone of both intensity and serenity. Bringing passion and power as well as strong grounding and centering energy, this mineral manages to bring calm and stable energy as it  prepares to call you to action.

Often referred to as “The Warrior’s Stone” it is thought that garnet protects from all harm and was worn by both sides who fought during the Crusades. This is not the only example of garnet on a battlefield as it was also used to inflict harm. Some Asiatic tribes believed the blood-colored variety of garnet made their weapons more deadly and in battle they were slung from bows and shot from guns. While we may not be engaging in actual physical combat, we all have struggles, challenges and obstacles and this crystal harnesses a high level of protection and determination which proves beneficial in a multitude of situations.
